Dictyostelia are a group of organisms that generally aggregate to become multicellular. There are approximately 120 known species of Dictyostelium. Dictyostelium discoideum belonging to the group 4, secrete cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) toact as a chemo attractant for aggregation.
